During a period of 4 months, I got to shoot a video and photographs of a massive project by Van Eycken. They are a giant in metal construction and invited me to capture the entire construction project of a passerelle bridge, to be placed at the train station in Fleurus.
Alongside many hours of video footage, I shot these pictures at the factory where a team of craftsmen were working together to lay out the pieces of the puzzle, using their grinders, welders, saws and CNC mills.
The dark environment getting lit up by sparks and beams of light, the smoke and embers entering the atmosphere around the worker’s heads,… This was an ideal situation for a photographer obsessed by the contrast between light and dark!
Hasselt, BE. 2021-2022. First try at food photography. Bontà is situated next to the place I work. Owner Maurice Vroonen and Chef Lijo Schreurs gave me the opportunity to capture their gorgeous food creations. Chef Lijo always knows how to work magic with colors as well as flavours.
In the heart of the Belgian Ardennes, in a green setting, I got invited to a resort called Green Fields! The setting includes a restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool and activities with a lounge atmosphere throughout the day, as well as a glamping area. It got organised during the time when Covid-19 prohibited the organisation of Tomorrowland and other festivals by the organisation behind TML, Dreamville.
Costumes were designed and created by Soul15, who are the best in the game when it comes to making fantastic outfits for entertainers to wear at events, festivals and private gatherings.

A collection of people, faces & silhouettes, anonymously roaming the streets. Up to their business, statically or en route. Most of these are shot on 135 black & white film (Kodak Tri-X, Kodak Tmax and Rollei Retro 400S using my Leica M6 and M2, the other half are digital snaps (Nikon Z6 & Z9).
I love using longer lenses as to not disturb the subject or make it aware of my presence while capturing them in their most natural poses. Most of the analog shots, though, are captured using a 35mm lens, requiring me to step in much closer to the scene.
All these are shot on 35mm Rollei Retro 400S film, using my Hasselblad XPan camera.
The XPan utilizes a dual-format, producing both full panorama 24x65mm format in addition to conventional 24x36mm format on the exact same film. It was the first dual-format 35mm camera on the market that expanded the format instead of masking it, making sure that every exposure utilized the full area of the film. The 65mm width of the full panorama images are similar to the medium format, actually making the XPan a medium format camera for 35mm film.
In total, there were about 16,800 XPan cameras produced between 1998 and 2002. Overjoyed to be owner of an absolute mint copy with all accesoires, boxes and documentation.
