During a period of 4 months, I got to shoot a video and photographs of a massive project by Van Eycken. They are a giant in metal construction and invited me to capture the entire construction project of a passerelle bridge, to be placed at the train station in Fleurus.

Alongside many hours of video footage, I shot these pictures at the factory where a team of craftsmen were working together to lay out the pieces of the puzzle, using their grinders, welders, saws and CNC mills.

The dark environment getting lit up by sparks and beams of light, the smoke and embers entering the atmosphere around the worker’s heads,… This was an ideal situation for a photographer obsessed by the contrast between light and dark!
